Celebrating 500,000 SaverLife Members: Our Chief Impact Officer’s Letter to You
When I joined SaverLife in 2017, we had 30,000 members. When our CEO, Leigh, told me that her goal was to reach 1 million members by 2022, I felt hesitant. Can SaverLife really reach one million people?
Four years later, we’re well on our way.
This month, we are celebrating the huge milestone of reaching 500,000 members across the country. Our growth has come from a relentless pursuit of a single goal: helping people save. We do this not by pushing our preconceived notions on people, but by designing products that meet people where they are.
In the past four years, we have transformed our platform from a matched-savings program reaching 6,000 San Francisco residents to a prize-linked savings program that reaches half a million people across the country. As our President and CEO, Leigh, said before going on parental leave last month, “In the last 12 months, we’ve grown our membership by nearly 300%. If there was ever a proof point that showed the value of what we do, that [is it].”
As we look to the future, we’re focused on personalizing the savings experience on our platform to reach even more people. We will continue using technology to have an impact at scale. Here’s to the next 500,000 SaverLife members.
